For a disabled person living in Massachusetts, whos only source if income is his monthly SSI benefits, is there any chance of receiving support for rent? I know that SSI doesn't cover things like rent, but as far as other government services go for that, is it even possible to cover the prices to pay off loans for rent?
Any information on this subject would be really appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by "pay off loans for rent," but certainly there is subsidized housing for disability and seniors. I think you have to start with the Mass. Housing Authority. At least, it's a start. Good luck.

Definitely call Mass Housing Authority. There are elderly/disabled apartments everywhere. My mom has been in one for years. Some of them are 3 room apartments, some are 2 rooms that have kitchen/living room combined. There are even 2 bedroom apartments if there is more than one person living there. The cost is 1/3 of your monthly check and it includes rent, electric, and heat.
I think every town has a housing authority. You can ask for an application for an apartment. You will eventually get a one bedroom apartment unless you are married or have kids, in which case you can get more than one bedroom. The apartments are very small and lacking in such things as laundry facilities but the rent is only 1/3 of your income. If you are single you must live alone; you are not allowed to have a roommate.
Some of the apartment complexes are in bad condition, others not so bad so it's best if you can go around and see them. Then decide which ones you want and get on waiting lists for all of them.
