Yes it is, because most of the people in the media are allowing their own personal political bias to become the driving force behind everything they do.
I was involved in a really big project for two months. Was working 10-14 hours a day and was not watching the news or listening to the radio. I did flip to CNN and FNC twice, and each time the news was not really news, it was just journalists and hosts whinging over silly tweets from Trump, and inserting their own personal feelings on them.
I no longer see the cable news, or the broadcast news as news, anymore. It's all personally biased political opinions, dressed up as if it were news.
The news anchor for a network is supposed to be pure journalism, not biased, not representing one political party's view, and not coloring the news with their opinions.
When a network anchor opens up the evening news hour with a tweet from the President, she just reports what he said. She does slant and distort the news with her own assumptions and opinions, by presenting it as "The president's racist tweet."
We want to watch the news, and make up our own minds about it, not be told what to think, or how to feel, or how to judge and interpret the news of the day. We do not tune into the news hour with the network news anchor, to hear their whiny little personal opinions, we can get that from any goof off the street, or from any drunk at the local bar.
Now, the NYT has made it clear that for the next year, all their news about Trump will be purposely slanted and biased. Well, guess which newspaper most of us will ignore for the next year.
The veil of journalistic integrity, ethics and professionalism has finally and forever been pulled down in the run up to the 2016 election and beyond.
The MSM has been liberal since at least the 1960's, but were very stealthy in the way they conducted themsleves.
Frankly they couldn't have gotten away with exposing their own personal biases back then, because their bosses were old school professionals, and would have slapped them silly for trying to blatantly create false narratives that served their liberal ideology.
Sure the bias was there in the way the news was reported, the polls were skewed, and endorsement for president were always for the Democrats.
But again, it was cloaked in the professional demeanor of respected journalists, paper editors and newscasters.
Now of course the old school and professional journalists are retired/fired, and the new bosses do not try to keep the semblance of neutrality/fairness alive. They let the young horses run wild by opening the corral door and say "go get your freak on"!
It reminds me of this scene from a movie called Broadcast News;
The most relevant scene to what I just articulated came between 1:11 and 1:34 where the junior producer starts acting unprofessional by screaming and yelling, and her boss (the old school guy with integrity) tries to calm her down in front of his boss ( a studio exec). But his boss sees this, and instead of being upset says "I had no idea she was this good", which perplexes the main producer.
The bottom line is that the barn doors are open, and no one seems able or willing to try and regain the the professionalism and journalistic integrity the studios/papers once had.
The media has irreparably damaged any remaining semblance of journalistic integrity and neutrality in their rabid pursuit of Trump since 2016. In their own eyes, it seems like they imagine themselves to be 'king makers,' yet, fail to realize that their own biased diatribes and spin, have removed them from the sphere of credible influence.
IOW, 'they have shot themselves in their credibility foot' ... and not even the most extreme idealogues can any longer call what the media does "news." The veil is off and being further stripped away as they tout the 'merits' of the ridiculous slate of 2020 " candidates, while trying to maintain a straight face.
What do people honestly expect when news have become a merely "for-profit" business. Of course this means its all about riling people up to get ratings and ad revenue.

This was not the case in the past.
It goes beyond that. The media has merged and merged into just 6 major corporations, who I believe have a large interest in the continued "globalization" of the USA. Pretty much everyone I know see's this though, and know they are full of it.
Your thread is fake news in itself as you have missed out where the majority of fake news eminates from.
