This is an odd request. Do anyone know where I can buy #1 pencils. These are the "extra soft" ones. They erase easily, and I use them for marking music. I know that Dixon Ticonderoga still makes them but I cannot find them in any of the office supply stores.

I agree, I'm sure any art center will have them, like the one on Union near Belvedere. Or a Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc.

I draw using various graphites and coals. You can find #1s at any local art store. They'll be a bit cheaper at Hobby Lobby, which usually carries at least a couple of brands (most prominently 'General').

You can find them on ebay you know, along with the sand paper to keep them sharp.

I went to Hobby Lobby. They have the #2, but they said that they would not be able to order the #1. They do have the "General" line of artist's pencils, but I don't know which ones would be the equivalent of a #1.

I'd suggest going to an art store, like the Art Center on Union. Just call them, it's a small place. they specialize in everything art, unlike Hobby Lobby which is...well, everything random.

I'm sure the Art Center could tell you where to go if they don't have them.
