Don't you get that when you talk like this it only makes YOU look bad Davros.
Why do you insist on being your own worst enemy?
How does it make me look bad? I can't name one thing that a mental health "professional" has ever done for me. Not one. What good is a suggestion to talk to people causually do for a person who's tried that and gotten nowhere with it. When I tell them that, they essentially say nothing.
My anxiety is not like everybody else's. I'm suspicious of supplements, but will consider, if it will not mess with my zoloft that I'm on for OCD. I can't even eat grapefruit or take advil anymore. And I don't think I even have OCD.
I suffer from PTSD. Most people aren't able to tell when they meet me. But, whenever I'm around certain types of people, I'll relive painful experiences I try not to think about and my body will subconsciously react.
I'm all for natural alternatives. L-theanine is from green tea, and also helps with metabolism. Besides helping with anxiety, you'll notice you'll feel great all around. Try GABA at night before bed.
What's missing in (assuming you are from the U.S.) American diets, are essential amino acids. If you focus on eating healthy and supplement with amino acids missing in your diet, you will substantially notice a difference! Combined with L-theanine, people say it has relaxing effects like marijuana does but without the THC.
Btw, I know what you mean about the apathy most people will encounter with those in the health'care' field. You probably feel like another number.
This is where your self healing starts, because conventional medicine treats the symptoms and doesn't prevent it. It also doesn't encourage holistic health. You need to work your way around a broken system and find something that works for you.
Maybe get in touch with your inner thoughts through self-reflective meditation? Listen to pleasant music. Burn some incense?
Basically, find ways to ground yourself. Think of a time when you felt most confident. Remember how you felt, the event that occurred. Remember your environment and surrounding. How were you able to feel secure and happy? Relive those experiences now.
Tell that to the LAZY ASS MENTAL HEALTH "professionals" who don't do squat other than cashing a check and signing a "safe" prescription for an SSRI ("SSRIs are harmless).
The lack of character, professionalism, concern, caring, and effort from every single mental health so-called professional I've encountered is appalling.
Sadly, there is no good way to respond to the crap you wrote above other than to say what I've already said.
Do you know what it's like to be all alone in the world. It hurts, and it's scary.
Yes, I do. And so do many other people. But we don't spend our time dwelling on it. Time to face what your future is really going to be like and stop focusing on what other peoples lives are like compared to yours. Is it possible you may be single all or most of your life and/or not have many or any close friends? Possibly. So work at finding a good job, a good area to live, and a good house, hobbies, etc. so that at least you'll have that to look forward to.
Of course being all alone is scary sometimes. And of course I'm sorry you are hurt.
But you and only you can fix that, don't you see?
Unless and until you take personal responsibility for your own life and mental health you will remain alone and scared.
That is your choice to make.
How can you take personal responsibility when there are NO COMPETENT MENTAL HEALTH "professionals"? There's nowhere to turn for help. They are all useless.

Thank you. I repped you but I think my comment got garbled.

If you've met a few bad apples then I'm sorry for you, but don't give up searching for someone who can and will help you - they are out there.
Many therapists and psychiatrists are very caring and competent.
