I'm getting eating up by medical bills and food for me n my dog so I dono how on earth I can get a place I can afford to live for Me my dog anyone has any suggestions? I'm disabled and haven't passed the written test yet, I'm currently crashing at a friends place, but they don't really have the room for me and someone else is supposed to be moving in here so I'm not allowed to crash that long anyway, I only have medicare and not Medicaid, so really there's not any mental health agency that well even help me , they all said call medicare n medicare says search their site but there's no listing on Medicare that has mental health agency.
the post is very vague.Need more info but have you tried going to the county social service office for help?
where have you been living prior? do you have family near by that can help?
the medical bills can wait. you need to think about feeding yourself first then shelter. bill collectors can wait. you have nothing they can take from you. what is the written test your talking about? a drivers license? how old are you? what do you do for income. are you on NJ Family care or do you get Medicare for a disability?
Hello - There are resources, but you might need someone to help you find them.
First, google: "mental health services" in the city or county you are in. There ARE, no doubt, services - you just have to find them.
If you are disabled, then there are other services for disabled people . . .
You can probably get food stamps.
There might be housing programs in your city/county.
You just have to do a LOT of searching on your computer.
You could go to a library and ask for help in searching for services for homeless, disabled, mental health, food, etc.
There are probably also food pantries and soup kitchens in your city/county.
Good luck.
