Mexicans are from North America and all these other different groups are from different regions. I said it once and I will say it a million times. Puerto Ricans are the lowest of all Caribbeans they are part of the U.S and not even part of Latin American and most of their country is on welfare and wouldn't survive without it.

Cubans are communist with probably the worst conditions in the Caribbean but they only talk behind your back and as long as it is behind closed doors it doesn't matter to use. They have their own problems in Cuba. It seems misery enjoys company and the Venezuelans seem to be following the failed Cuban model to misery.

Dominicans share an island with Haiti and they are kind of busy with the Haitians.

If MS 13 targeted Mexicans in North America well it would be the biggest mistakes of their lives. Trust me when I say this that Mexicans would clean all of them out in North America and the Mexico will go stomp them in El Salvador. El Salvador is probably the crappiest low life countries in Central America.

Mexicans will always be Top Dog Alpha Wolf in North America and for those who don't like it to Fkn bad. People must know that Mexico gets most of its arms and weapons from the U.S so any of you stupid Nations, gangs, ethnic groups who get out of line and want to hurt our people will be meet with the worst nightmare you can ever imagine. Mexico is already rising and separating itself from many Countries in the Caribbean, Central America and even South America so the jealous and envy will only get worse.
Dude, you don't have to denigrate others to be proud of your culture, nor to establish it as unique.

For the record, again, this Mexicano does not consider it an insult to be confused with ANY nationality, whether Salvadoreño, Cubano, Argentino...or, heck, Persian/Turk as often is the case. It's outright idiotic to think you're special (better or less) for where you were born in. The main importance with place of birth are the privileges given to us because of it. Nonetheless, those privileges don't make a human better or worse than others, just more or less privileged.

Amen.

I don't care if people confuse me for another nationality either.

Ultra nationalistic/ethnic pride is worthless and a waste of time.

Only ignorant people partake in that type of mentality.

You need to read more besides American history books.
Some day we all know how the American expansion was executed and how Mexico lost half territory because the Monroe Doctrine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and the Texas annexation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
made by a DEMOCRATA president.

Some day we will know the REAL HISTORY of this crooked one done in the American books.

I am Mexican-American yet most of my friends are Puerto Rican, Dominican, or Cuban. My parents friends are mostly Cuban. Never had problems with any other latino. I honestly think it's ignorant for someone to assume that a latino is Mexican. I do believe there is some tension between latinos for plenty reasons. Just like central americans and Caribbean's don't like being called Mexican, most Mexicans don't like when one of them gets mistaken for a Mexican. Most of my latino friends, specially Mexicans and Cubans, aren't too fond of central americans. It just depends how you look at it, or what you've experienced in life.

Our experiences may be similar to that of Mexican Americans. West Indians and Africans make up a small percentage of the overall black population and work extremely hard to differentiate themselves from us due to the negative stereotypes we have. They'll say we are lazy, less successful, less educated and culture-less. Overall, we don't care what they think of us because their opinion doesn't mean anything.

The problem we do have is that despite their negative opinions of us, they always desire to move into our neighborhoods/subdivisions and they always follow us around wherever we go, which creates tension. Ex: if we move to Long Island, they move to long Island; if we move to Connecticut or the South, they follow us to those places as well. If they truly believe a group of people are poor/welfare dependent, lazy and unsuccessful, then why move into their communities? It's offensive, classless and just plain stupid. No outside force is forcing West Indians, Africans, Panamanians, etc to move into our areas, they're choosing to do so.

I think they're afraid of moving to white areas because whites won't tolerate their culture and would tell them to **** off, so they invade our communities and create their own cultural space within our cultural space. Not only do they think it's our responsibility to promote their culture, they get offended once they realize we don't like their music or foods. Undocumented WIs and Africans also tend to hide out in our neighborhoods because our cops are less likely to bother them. Crap like this annoys the hell out of me, so yeah, I understand why some Mexicans are upset here.

/rant.

I am Salvadorian and I always hear other Salvadorians talking negative about the Mexicans including my parents and other adults. But it's not only Salvadorians. Puerto Ricans really don't like Mexicans and neither do the Dominicans and the Colombians and many other Hispanic nationalities. If they are confused as being from another nationality other than Mexican, the reaction is not that bad. A Puerto Rican friend was mistaken as a Dominican, Cuban, and even Brazilian. He says it doesn't bother him at all. But a Mexican he says it's an insult. In my region which is New York, Hispanics see Mexicans as being the lowest of the lowest. I know the Salvadorian's MS 13 gang's main target is Mexicans, but my nationality gets along well for the Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Colombians, and everyone else, it's just Mexico many Hispanic nationalities seem to have a problem with. Why is this?
Because many are illegal aliens, who work for much less, and do not pay their taxes. Also, many are poor and uneducated, and seen by other Americans as part of a lower class, which is making Americans pay more taxes, for educating them, going to the hospitals and not paying their bills, etc.

However, many are very decent people, they have an excellent work ethic. The same thing happened to Puerto Ricans whey they first came to New York City, in the early 1940's, but, Puerto Ricans are automatically American Citizens.

People do not want to be identified with illegal alien groups who are in the lower echelon of society.

It just seems like they tend to dislike being confused with Mexicans. Every person that speaks Spanish is not Mexican but some people seem to think so. Just as how many people think that every Caribbean person is Jamaican when there are so many other islands. It likely gets to be a bit irritating.

When people from Central and South America come to the United States they have to pass Mexico, sadly however the Mexican police abuse the immigrants from these countries and now the people from Central and South America have a negative view on Mexicans. Not all are like this though.
