We have encountered the practice of tipping the Internet installer to get internet installed. Anyone else come across that?

I have my internet along with my Telnor phone. My phone will work but no internet.problem seems to be at the main control box for my neighborhood. As for tipping it is a custom here. Couple of dollars would suffice......at your house only.

You don't have to, but I even used to tip the garbage man when I lived in Mexico.

I tip early and often. I think I heard recently that the average annual wage in MX was $6,000 MXP. If I give someone $200 MXP (About $10 USD), I get better service and sometimes even make a new friend.

Cheap at twice the price.

Something is amiss there. You pay directly in the CFE office to have any meter turned on..
On. The man will come out to unlock the meter and take a reading...less then 5 mins and he will not say anything to anyone...I know as my ex wife was a Senior Exec with CFE.

I think is better not to pay tips for jobs you've already paid. Is a bad precedent, then all people will want a tip for anything, personally I do not have the money left to tip anyone.
