I previously asked about buildings and I've narrowed it down to the Plaza on Brickell, Icon or 1060 Brickell. To go into more detail, I am 21 year old female, don't know anyone in the area. I like to go out, and I want to meet people in the building, but I don't want the building enviornment to be "crazy" or anything. I know plaza has a "party building" reputation (people keep saying that) but I want to know what people mean by that? Do the people in the building party? or do the people in the building party together a lot? Or is it just filled with people who party? Is it easy to meet people if youre new?

Also, do a lot of young people live in icon? (I know its a mix, but in general people my age). Also I took a tour and it seemed slightly "stuffy"..is that the case?

Does 1060 allow large dogs?

If rent cost is not an issue, which of the three buildings would you recommend for a 20-something female who doesnt know anyone (and needs some friends) but also doesnt want a CRAZY dormish building (but still wants to have friends in the building). Location is also important (to be near supermarket, etc...)

I appreciate all the help and any other advice you could give someone new to the area would be great! A little nervous to go at it on my own!

I have visited Plaza on Brickell and Icon. They are both beautiful and you mostly see people in their mid 20's and up. Icon is more expensive I believe. Plaza did not have too many poeple living in it at the time I visited so not sure what its like now. But Icon does get rowdy, especially at the pool sometimes. I live on Latitude on the River and am considering Plaza on Brickell or santa maria when my lease is up....ah apartment hunting! Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way..

i hear plaza is a "party building", but I don't know what the means exactly. I'm just worried because I kind of want a best of both worlds thing, where I want young people and I want to be able to meet people easily, but I dont want a dorm atmosphere. I am shy, so I want to be able to make friends and not feel like its an intimidating environment where everyone parties together. Strange, but cant change you're needs! Its definitely between plaza, icon and 1060 though.

You should stay less focused on the "party" and more on the atmosphere of the building, price, location, and amenities you are interested in.

There are a thousand areas in Miami where there is a party occurring at any given time, so do not get so obsessed if your building has it or not. You are talking about many diverse people paying a lot of money a month for a place to live, I seriously doubt you are going to have it too wild in there like it is New Year's Eve every day.

Plaza a party building? I guess to some people's standards it is, you know, milk with double chocolate is getting crazy!

Any place you live is what you make it. You do not have to talk to one single person in your building if you do not want to, or you can *** your mouth at everyone and maybe one will want to continue the conversation.

It mostly boils down to who can have sex with who atmosphere between many people.
