There, I repped you.

Coconut, where exactly did you get that stuff from? Did it all come from Lowes? I acually need to get some fixtures for my bathrooms and a mirror for my main and half bath. I have never been in a aparment that didn't have a mirror in that bathroom. I find that odd.

Yes, all from Lowes unless otherwise noted, I forgot to mention the umbrellas were from Garden Ridge.

I forgot, I did get two mirrors from Lowes as well. One was a $100 marked down to $5 because it had a ding in the side of the frame (I put that side down on the fireplace mantel and put a plant in front of it!) as well as a beveled glass mirror that is extremely heavy for $20, which wasn't much of a steal, originally $50 or something like that, but I liked it so I bought it.

I think the mirror clearance events are over for a while, though. Last year they marked a lot of them down.

A few months ago they did the curtain clearance where I picked up $50/panel silk dupioni curtains for $12 a panel. They didn't have as many as I needed so I called the Lowes number, they found a store a state away and shipped them to me. Luckily they were the same clearance price there, because when you do call to locate more of a product, if they can find more, its purchase price is whatever that store currently has them marked at. So for example, if I wanted another Davenport fixture and say I couldn't find any in stores around here, if they called another store a ways away and it was $72 there, I would have to pay the $72 if I wanted it, not the $4.50 I paid at my store.

Right now area rugs seem to be on heavy clearance as does storage accessories.

You can still find other bargains, but when they are getting rid of certain things, that's when you'll have the best selection at cheap prices.

I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of a mirror... a cheap mirror and an expensive mirror still show your reflection You could just get a cheap, unframed mirror, then buy some trim pieces, use tough as nails and create a frame for it. Stain the wood or paint it to make it look better.

Sweet. I will definitely have to check that out. I could go without the unframed mirrors, like you said, all I need to do is see my reflection so I can shave and wash my face.

Or do this when i have a huge pimple.

Also see if there is a freecycle website for your area. Great way to pick up stuff.

That could get messy!

Check CL for free items too. I've done quite a few G sales and at the end I'll do a FREE FOR ALL and just let people come and take what they want. Just be careful when it comes to fabric related items - things could get/be icky!

Lol. Glass Cleaner is my friend.

I'm definitely staying away from the free couches unless they are coming from INSIDE a clean home and not sat on the curb.
