I made my dd a Twilight Princess Link cosplay and we wanted to go somewhere woodsy to take pictures. No palm trees is preferable and no buildings. Does such a place exist in SW Miami? Maybe a park that has trails?

How about everglades national park? There are a few small parks around but none of any significance. tropical and barnes parks have some wooded areas, as well as the ron ehman park on killian. None more than a few acres though.

Everglades National Park, the location that is south of Homestead. For hardwood, visit the Royal Palm area - where Gumbo Limbo trail is located. For pinelands - see the next turnoff - at Long Pine Key in ENP. There are also some woods within the pinelands. It is a nice, safe place.

Valicky, just go to the old Krome concentration camp. It's abandoned and very safe.

You could try the park around the old Burger King headquarters in Palmetto Bay. It is pretty sparse on palm trees and could suffice for the purpose of a photo shoot. You could also try the access point to Biscayne National Park that is behind Black Point Marina.

Just go to Matheson. It's not full of palms and can easily give a wooded feel.

Larry and Penny Thompson Park. I believe it's off Quail Roost Drive.

Great ideas guys! I thought about the old BK headquarters last night. It is a great area. That's where my son used to work at Sapient. Very peaceful with the added bonus of peacocks sometimes. We're waiting for the next cold front because the cosplay is hot for my dd. Will be sure to check some of these places out.
What is the old Krome "concentration" camp?
