Yep always has been... Lease a BMW, Benz, Audi. Treat women like crap. Be a gold digger. Rent a small apartment. Party. Act like youre rich when youre far from it to attract women. Act like you walk on water. Be an ass in general. Party. Be WAY cooler than the next person. Go to the hip spot thats happening this month. Get the latest cool clothes. Party. Drive like an idiot. Take drugs. Know the right people. Party and if all else fails. Party.

Try not to eat anyones face...

Miami's history begins in the 1910-1920s, the twilight of the so-called guilded age of the United States when steel, railroad and other industrial barrons put Miami (as well as Palm Beach) on the map as the mecca for winter vacation and retirement homes.

That period came to an end with the 1926 hurricane, depression and WWII.

Miami came back into history in the 1950s with the rise of the US working class wealthy enough to buy second and retirement homes and air-conditioning.

I think most of you know the rest of the history post-1959.

Good Luck!

The Miami Lifestyle is a lifestyle about beautiful women, luxury cars, yacht parties, name brand material things , looking good, having a nice body, and living large.

If the majority of the people don't (not can't, but Don't) live according to the stereotypical lifestyle of the city... then there is something wrong with the term.

Mind you, what would be the New York Lifestyle? Living in rowhomes or flats, taking the mass transit system, fast paced life, going to the park, or attending events, places, restaurants, only New Yorkers would know, etc... It seems that there is enough number of people who are actually living that reality, hence a term like "New York Lifestyle" can be more real.

We might as well add "Taking the train to commute" as part of the Miami lifestyle. Only small minority of people do that in Dade, just as living the glamorous lifestyle already mentioned.

As I see it a Miami lifestyle would be:

A more real Miami lifestyle - The so called Miami lifestyle

Living beyond your means, yet not living a luxurious life - Able to afford anything you want like a yatch... and throw a party with people of the like.
Owning more than one car - Owning collection editions.
Going to salsa clubs in the mainland - Going to an expensive club in the beach.
Eating all the cuban food you can - South Beach diet.
House to Work - Living large.
Dolphin Mall - High end boutiques.
1 week vacation tops - Travel 3 times a month.

and so on...

The Miami Lifestyle :

Good night life (if that is your thing)
Good shopping
Good restaurants
Overpriced if you rent
Vain - you had better look good - down-to-earth is NOT what these men/women are looking for (well, I am - but I'm not the norm)
Oh- and you had better be bilingual so that you can get a job in order to afford all of the above.

If you like nightclubs, boating, casinos, fine dining, etc - you will like it here. It's not a terrible place, but it does cater to a certain lifestyle.

"What exactly is the "Miami Lifestyle"?"

Dodging zombies, and hiding from the paratroopers who rappel from Black helicopters and kick in your windows in, over in the Brickell district! XD
