I think in Little Havana you will be in the starting point of your trip since we are a popular tourist destination due to our strong Hispanic influence on the area. You will see markets that sell tons of ethnic products, along 8th st you will see Domino Park and the elder Cuban men playing a game of Domino which is very big in Cuban culture, you will see some antique architecture, there's a new Ice-cream Shop which opened up not too long ago, so you should check that out. Beyond little Havana you have Downtown, which is not that great in my opinion, but there's Bay-Side which is a tourist trap, kinda over priced :P there are the boat rides you could take which if I'm not mistaken takes you all the way to the mansions of famous people :P ...you can also head towards South Beach from Downtown. South Beach is a little crazy, but manageable especially during the day time, there's also Sunny Isles beach which is a more relaxed scene if that's your thing. As for malls, we have Dolphin mall, International Mall, Sawgrass Mills which is a little far, Sunset Place. You should also try going around Coral Gables especially the Miracle Mile/Coral Way area, which is like the Downtown of Coral Gables, you should also visit the Venetian Pool, and around Coral Way you'll be seeing many Mediterranean restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, on 8th st heading to Coral Gables, you will find the famous Versailles restaurant, with traditional Cuban food.

You'll have $95/day to spend.. it just depends on what kind of lifestyle you're looking for when you're here. What are your expectations?

$2000 is doable if you eat at home mostly or fast food and if you dont go out clubbing too much...

Wouldn't it be better to ask your cousin these questions since he does happen to live in Miami?
