I'm around 127th ave and 108th st. I haven't had a chance to explore the neighborhood too much, so I don't really know what's near me. I know there's a Home Depot on 127th and a Publix on 104th. I guess I'm looking for things like the nearest post office and FedEx/ UPS place, places to get a hair cut, food options, night life, if any, places to bike ride. How about a Best Buy? Car wash? Target?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't want to sound sarcastic or like a prick but aren't you supposed to drive around the area and see what's around before you buy a house. What would you do if I told you that there is a jail a block north of your house and a rehab center 1/2 a block west of your house.

Lol! I mean, yeah, I checked out the immediate neighborhood, and I know there are shopping centers around me, but I don't know what's in them.
I had a time issue, since I was in temporary housing while I started my job, so I didn't want to continue paying rent in 2 places. I did a little research on the area as far as crime rate, demographics, taxes and things like that, but now that I'm there, I wanted to find out some more about the area. I'm just looking for any tips or suggestions from people in the same neighborhood.

Blue Martini is right there on Kendall drive for some nightlife. Also, La Caretta (cuban food) is right across the street from BM. You're in a pretty good location so enjoy exploring

If you swim, the pool at Miami-Dade College is pretty good (east on Killian just a bit). For any serious cycling, I would probably go east and park at Matheson Hammock to access the Old Cutler bike path, or Turnpike down to South Dade (neither option is NOT nearby, though). I don't know of any safe cycling routes in west Kendall itself, though I imagine some people cycle around there in the early weekend mornings (check with a bike shop is best). I also know there's an LA FItness on Kendall Dr. somewhere nearby.

On Kendall Drive just off the Turnpike, there is a Best Buy, an LA Fitness, and a bunch of restaurants. For Target, you would have to go to 150th Ave. & Kendall Dr. just before reaching the Walmart.

Its not walking distance but by car it is not far at all. I would say it is only 2 miles away.

The Tuesday Morning is no longer in the Crossings Shopping Village. Is Blockbuster still there? I can highly recommend the tailor there. He's expensive but excellent quality work.
