That's like saying the American continent is as homogeneous as a white Tulsa neighborhood. Stupid.

Aye. The Hispanic population here is pretty diverse; the ONLY thing many Spanish-speaking countries have in common is language.

That being said, DoggieBus ain't no troll. I don't think the article has much truth to it, but it was obviously just posted in good fun.

This is the guy who wrote the article, he doesn't quite portray the image that you described.

There are many truths in that article. Is he maybe missing his "white privilege"? Possibly...

However, if you have lived in other cities within the US and across the world, most people will come to the conclusion that Miami is one distinctive city..and not in a good way. Saying this, I still like Miami.

It's hyperbole. What the article does is state some things that are characteristic of many people in Miami as applying to everyone in Miami.

Some of the comments on that page are hilarious! This one's my favorite:
"They forgot to mention that we don’t riot like normal people in Miami, we get our casuelas and spoons y pa la calle!"

This article was meant to be funny. What's that saying "If we can't laugh at ourselves, then we can't laugh at all." I love that Miamians pull out the pots and pans and ride down the street when things happen. I think its hilarious, what other place in the US does that.

That hasn't happened in a while. I guess there hasn't been a good enough excuse for it.
