Hi! I am Alfredo. I just finished my residency in NY. I was offered a beginning job by a firm in Miami Beach. Just wanted to know, what are some nice areas for me to live. I am 30. I will rent, as I don't want to buy anything until I am married. I am definitely into the party scene. I will be making about 235k a year, so I can afford up to about $6k a month.

Also, how do Miamians feel about Africans? I am from Angola but I am of mixed Portuguese/Ambundu descent as both of my parents had Portuguese fathers. Any info will be helpful.

Brickell, top floors nicest buildings.

Honestly you are a doctor. I am confident you could figure this stuff out yourself. Hire a realtor.

I already contacted a realtor. I just wanted to hear the honest truth from the locals since it seemed like the realtor was giving me the runaround.

I suggest you find a new realtor then. The realtor should know the areas extremely well and give you their truthful opinion on areas and buildings.

Definitely
switch realtors if you're not comfortable with that one.

Always check the realtor reputation, either being the current one or a new one you find. On the Realtor official site there are a good number of realtors and some do have reviews. Also check on Google, sometimes there's info/reviews on Google itself.

Neighborhoods, there's the ones people talked about; and another ones you should consider is the SoFi (south of 5th Street) area of Miami Beach. Also Mid-Beach (41st Street Area) is pretty good with nicely managed good buildings too.
