Hello..
I have read so many great and interesting threads... Now I would like to start one of my own.. We are relocating from Chicagoland... Husbands job is in Boca Raton near Glades/Military. We have a Junior in High School and a 8th Grader.. probably will stay until end of school year.. So I am only looking at High School. We would love to find a house for under 500,000. I would like a gated Community with tennis, pool and a fitness center. My priorities for choosing new home would be Safe, good high school, within 30-40 minute commute for husband, and if possible family-friendly oriented.. I am excited and nervous to leave Chicago after 50 years of living here.. but I am happy about the fact that this is my last deep freeze winter..
Places that I would consider.. some I have visited and some I haven't ... Parkland, Boca Raton, Wellington, Lake Worth, Weston.. I don't think Private School is in the cards... but if it is not a option then we will see. Suggestions on Charter Schools.. gated communities.. I want to thank you in advance for sharing your words of wisdom..

Wellington because you get more bang for your buck and West Boca which is full of new developements geared toward families and tend to be cheaper than other parts Of Boca.

Weston fits your criteria but it is the furthest. For that sole reason I would cross it off your list. Wellington and West Boca, like Fl1150 suggested are your best options.

Parkland is probably the closest thing to match all your criteria and being close to the job.
