Have heard a rumor that due to the lack of a rainy season, by August water restrictions would be increased. Supposedly they are already in effect but in my area of Hendry County we have been getting rain. However, in mom's area in Miami it is so dry that most of the neighborhood is dead. My understanding that with the exception of wealthy areas, watering is already limited to two days a week, and not between 10AM and 4PM.

It's really dry here, so not surprising if they did. I just water my whole yard last night because it was stressed looking. I was in Naples Tuesday and its green over there and they got the normal afternoon rain when I was over there.

Actually I have been wanting to cut hay but the afternoon thunderstorms have prevented that. If I was in Miami-Dade county I could have cut my hay, raked it and let it cure on the fields without any worry. Strangely, it even feels hotter in Miami than here inland, which is probably due to the abnormal weather.

Yeah about the only rain we see is a random morning shower that fizzles out pretty quickly and I only get those because I am less then two miles from the coast.

I have had to replenish my pool because it is so dry here which is really weird because I thought the rainy season began in June. I am actually looking forward to the afternoon boomers when they finally come.
