While the temperatures have been mostly rotten, I cannot remember ever seeing this much rain this time of the year. The spring in Florida is usually dry, brown and smoky from all the fires. This year it is green, and gorgeous. Does any other longtime resident agree that this year has been one of the wierdest ever? I am amazed that the trees here are all green and there is still grass in the sunny areas.

Yes, We have had a weird winter for sure. I like that everything is green and that it has been raining. But I hate that we haven't a cool winter. We have had summer weather for the most part in Dec, Jan and Feb. No change for the most part, just 80F+ weather and humid. One of my complaints about South Florida is our year round heat and humidity.

It's been unusual. According to today's paper, we're a few inches above normal rainfall for the year in Broward. I can't remember the last time a year has started that way. I'd like some more consistent cool weather, too, but the rain has been much-needed.

Checked the National Weather Service's forecast a little while ago and it looks like we've got a strong cold front approaching -- predictions are for the low 50s Saturday night, and it might not reach 70 on Sunday. Let's enjoy it! You never know which cold front might be our last until October or November.

Don't the weather gods know that we need to seal our deck?? We pressure cleaned a few weeks ago anticipating some dry weather and now this! Caught in the middle with an exposed deck. Must be great for the drought though, which in the scheme of things is more important than our little old deck, I suppose. The gods must know what they are doing.

Does anyone know if any rain is going into the lake? What is the lake level, does anyone know?

Check out this (http://www.drought.unl.edu/DM/DM_state.htm?FL,SE - broken link) page.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming cold front. I love having the window open at night and enjoying the cold while it's nice and warm underneath my blanket

Yes! I have been thinking the same thing. I don't remember February and now March being so rainy! I'm not enjoying it though because this is summer weather, not spring (Miami spring) weather. I guess it'll be raining until the end of hurricane season in November.

We had a bunch of rain in North West Florida, this year might be a good one, no drought. Maybe a bit colder this spring, but beats the heat....

The tranformation is complete. It is getting cooler. I will be in a good mood as I go to my parent's home Sunday. That is, until I see team Metro doing their business. Then I will be angry all over again.
