"Marketplace Investment Group, headed by Perricone, sold the 10,965-square-foot site at 15 Southeast 10th Street and 955 South Miami Avenue to citizenM Hotels for about $1,475 per square foot." - The Real Deal Miami

Talk about a tight site for a hotel! I supposed you could get 300 keys on an 11,000 SF site approaching 18-19 stories? Conservatively? This could really help fill in some of the open areas along Miami Avenue and complete the urban fabric along the corridor, especially if the restaurant moves in to the ground floor.

Thoughts?

that's just the parking lot in the picture....hopefully, they reopen somewhere in Brickell--be it the proposed hotel or elsewhere...in the meantime, I see a couple of other Italian eateries from SoBe are setting up shop in Brickell....Casa Tua is opening up a resto on the ground floor of Brickell City Centre (across from Chopard) and Rosetta Bakery is opening up on the ground floor of one of the new SLS Brickell Heights properties (same building that houses Equinox)

They're planning on reopening in the buillding when it's complete. But it will still mean a pretty long break while they build the place. I'd love another rooftop venue as well.

How many more hotels can Brickell accommodate ? It seems like the district is becoming over saturated with them.

Speaking of more hotels in Brickell, don't forget the Hyatt Centric that will be opening up as part of Panorama Tower. 208 rooms tentatively scheduled for May opening.

This is just sad. I loved Perricones. It is near my house and the food was delicous and affordable, perfect for the family. Damn it.

F**king awful is my thoughts, along with what that stupid Flat Iron? building brought. Was wanting them to sort of build up in some areas, keep it low key in others. But at that, having a building at the site is going to seem a bit awkward at that location.

Miami needs to maintain open areas, not fill them all in with buildings ffs.
