I am a long time resident of CT and moving to Miami area. I need help in figuring out where to live. So here is my question to the locals: If you were to move to Miami where would you live and why? Thank you.

Hi, I am single guy moving by myself. I budgeted 800 for rent and do not speak Spanish. Is there a safe and affordable area with public transportation I can move to? Thanks.

Anywhere from West Plam Beach to Miami is going be pricey with Miami begin most expensive. Jacksonville area could fit your budget

You'll be miserable with an $800 rent budget if you're going to live alone. Two people paying $800 each seems reasonable. Or at least more so.

$800 is next to impossible. Even $850/month will be a glorified shack/hole in the wall.

Not necessarily. He could rent an efficiency or perhaps even a 1 bedroom casita on someone's property in Shenandoah, Silver Bluff, or even Coconut Grove. I've seen some nice ones advertised on Next Door in the $800 - $1,000 price range.
