you'll need a job that pays well to afford anything in south beach. those are few and far between in miami, even with a college diploma. if you're not used to a decent standard of living, you'll probably be okay, but if you are--forget it.

What qualifications do you have. Doesn't sound like much. What jobs have you worked at? What work do you like? How much time in school are you willing to put in? Why do you think being gay should have any bearing on a career?

Default Best career choice for 18/M/Gay going to southbeach? ??

I think a good looking gay male in southbeach would do well being a bartender. It would give you enough interaction with other people who have simular interests and you could make really good money.

We have an over abundance of muscle, gay, "good looking" guys with no education beyond high school. There is stiff competition in clubs and bars.

Enroll at Miami Dade Wolson campus, get your AA degree and work part time while you aren't sure about what you want to do. That will take you two years if you take four classes a semester, which is doable with a part time job.

By then you can choose a major and transfer to FIU or some other school

The jobs in demend here are low paying service jobs. A lot of people scrape by as waiters, they pay well if you work at the righ places, but that takes years experience.

In short, if you are beautiful but don't have any special skills, you are looking at a low paying service job. Just work at a place that interests you and FINISH college.

I agree with Chelito23. Ironically, good-looking and gay doesn't go very far in SoBe because you're competing with...oh, 10,000 other good-looking gay guys.

And EVERYONE wants to be a bartender. Those jobs are super hard to get.
