A cab from South Beach to the airport should be no more then $30-35 eachway. I am sure there is a super shuttle. I do not know if there are any direct buses. But you can always take a bus to Metrorail or the PeopleMover and then take the metrorail to the airport and get on a shuttle from the metrorail to the airport.
In a few years the metrorail will go directly to the airport finally.

Assuming you mean MIA and not FLL, yes there is a direct bus (# 150). It starts near 16'th and Collins, runs north along Collins to 41'st St, then turns west on 41'st and goes straight to the airport. There is ample space for luggage. It runs every 30 mins or so until about 11 PM. You can stop it at any bus stop along Collins, but you have to wave to it, it won't stop otherwise. The fare is $2.35 per person.
