I am originally from Orlando and by curiosity relocated to Miami for 10 months. Now returned to Central Florida... where real life is, where is more rural but at the same time with more chance to settle down, and better quality of life.

The majority of people who work and live in the Orlando Metro Area are used to commute across the different counties of Central Florida including Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Lake, Brevard, Volusia, etc. In my opinion, people in Central Florida have more knowledge of their geographic area than in Miami Metro Area... in spite that Metro Orlando still remains as a low skill job heaven.

Ask somebody in Central Florida for so rural places like the Yeehaw Junction... AND THEY WILL KNOW IT... Ask for Bartow, Frostproof, Mount Dora, Tavares, Umatilla, Rockledge, Mims, Geneva, Sanford, Malabar... THEY WILL KNOW THEM AND MORE.

Ask however many residents of Miami about Fort Lauderdale and they don't know where the hell it is... ... OR they have never gone to Broward County. So never mind asking for Margate, Hollywood, Riviera Beach or even West Palm Beach

People in Miami are so arrogant and their mentality does not go beyond the county line Miami-Dade and Broward.

Many arrogant residents of Miami forget where Miami's development came from... the drug industry in the 80s which is still alive but has taken other forms like the identity theft business, the medicare fraud, the plastic surgery scams, the modeling, the housing bubble, and fashion industry, the art deco... money from all of this industries come from the international drug trafficking. Local government corruption is another hint.

MIAMI: Intellectual wasteland, lobby of the U.S. and plastic city.

It is always a good idea to repeat the true nature of the Miami area so those new here from online can be exposed to it. However, remember that Orlando too was built with drug money. In fact, Ocala became expensive because drug money from pot and coke smugglers who chose to live there starting in the 70's.
