Has anyone ever heard of Wings of Wonder? It's a bird sanctuary in Empire, MI. Looking at a map, it's outside of Traverse City. I've liked their page since January when one of my animal pages linked one of their pictures. I was thinking of visiting once I move. Has anyone ever been here?

I know the area but never been there. They apparently have (easement) issues with the county from time to time.
Rebecca's blog: WE WON THIS FIRST ROUND!

I found it located just east of Empire off of M-72.

You might check out Empire and its beach while you're there.

Huh, that's interesting about the issues from time to time. I'll have to definitely read the blog. I'm really into birds and I have a cousin studying ornithology at Ohio State University, so I always send her different links/pages.

I know where I'm going to go once I get a license. So, would this be part of the UP?

No, zoom out in that google map with mouse wheel and you can see the location off M-72 between Traverse City and Empire.

Ah, okay. Wow, this is a pretty remote location. The pictures of different sites around here look beautiful, though... breathtaking!

Empire is part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, a large national park.
