Prior service army wants back in air national guard (reserve, recruiter, military)

Hello everyone. Just some quick background on my military side. I basically been out the regular army for just about 11 years. I received a re-3 for personality disorder for just saying I was depressed. I also received a uncharacterized discharge. My question is I recently spoke with a air national guard recruiter and we was positive he could get the waiver for my personality disorder but I need to have my type discharge changed to honorable. Is this true I need to have it changed or that can stay the only thing being waived I thought was my personality disorder. Anyone with answer please let me know.

Having processed a few discharges for folks, to include a couple of BH ones(which tend to be a pain in the ass), there is likely quite a bit more to this story.

The only way you can know for sure is talk to a recruiter and start processing Bring DD214 and be prepared to bring the rest of your records. Unless you are "cured", you're likely not getting in, reserve component or not.

There is an active USAF recruiter on the board that will likely post more accurate and current info.
