I was slightly involved in assisting in re-writing one of the Field Manuals in the 80's. I say slightly as there was probably 1,000 plus people "slightly involved". Our Battalion was tasked to do some of the research. It was interesting, there was a lot to learn and observe. We even had a few local TDY trips. It is not something I would want to do as a career. In fact, not sure if I would want to do it again.

The biggest problem in conveying an idea is how to express it in the written word.
You write one sentence and depending on how you say it, or where you put the emphasis, you can really get people confused.....
My teacher, a very very long time ago, always told me to remember the following:
