Hey everyone I will be Milwaukee next week and Im just wondering what is the best brewery tour to take? We are not really too interested in the tours, more so the bang for the buck with the samples and what not. Anyway help would be great, thanks.

I have to second the Lakefront tour... especially now that it's the only standalone brewery that's still headquartered in Milwaukee.

The Miller tour can be okay if you don't have any money (it's free). Plus they give you three fresh beers at the end (trust me, it doesn't taste anything like the crap they put in the cans).

The Sprecher tour is in Glendale, but I've never taken it so I can't comment.

So the Miller tour is free and they give you 3 free beers at the end? How long is the tour?

Awesome stuff, thanks for the information. Also do you know if a lot of people tailgate prior to Brewers games?

Are you serious? Is the Pope Catholic?

Tailgating was literally invented by Brewers fans in the parking lot of County Stadium. So yes, there will be tailgating.

Awesome stuff, looks like I will be taking public transit to the game so I can take part in some tailgating and drinking.

Unless you know someone who's going to bring everything, then you're going to need a vehicle to haul a grill, cooler, food, beer, chairs, and possibly a folding table and possibly cabana. Don't just expect to show up and drink other people's beer or eat other people's food. However, don't be surprised if people DO offer you beer or food or ask you to play bean bag toss or beer pong with them.
