Be aware of hurricanes. Generally,If you live South of I-10 insurance will be expensive. Price it before you buy a house.
Your retirement income won't be taxed by the state.
Eat lots of Shrimp Po-Boys and spice them with Chrystal hot sauce.

Info as to what? Amenities? Taxes? Neighborhoods? Budget for all this? Long Beach is rather quiet all around. Give us your ideal day/week and we can see if Long Beach is right for you.

Also, if you're into the more cultural side of things, Bay St. Louis, on the other side of the bridge, has a vibrant culture and arts scene, and maybe music one too.
