I want to know if the city of Jackson and rest of Mississippi have some institutions that have science exhibits from around the world. I enjoyed the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Jackson Zoo websites, and I will visit these places in the future. However, it seems that they need more exhibits that deal with items from around the world, besides local ( Mississippi) stuff. Nevertheless, I want to know if anybody in and/or outside of the state of Mississippi visited these two places, and how did you enjoy them.

P.S. You should visit some of the museums and institutions in my homecity, Chicago,IL in the future.

I don't get it. If you think Jackson should have these things why don't you move down here and help establish them?

Seriously, not to be churlish, but what exactly is your game? I enjoy visiting Chicago but I hardly think it my place to tell folks in Chicago how they should run their show. If you think someone should have something, talking about it in web forums isnt going to help that goal at all.

I've been to Chicago many times and go there when I can... perhaps you should come down for a visit rather than just sitting home on the web and thinking you've experienced a place? I like to "visit" places like that too but I'm not so arrogant as to think I've "experienced" St Petersburg simply because I've learned some russian and visited a few websites.

When you come you might want to visit the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg. They have a state of the art computing center focused on numerical modeling and virtual reality and an incredible system of scale models of places like San Francisco bay and Boston Harbor. Much cooler than any museum, it's applied science in real life action.

Yeah, Waterways and the River Commission control the Mighty Miss as well as countless other bodies of water around the world. You gotta check it out.

Hmmmm, Chicago, where exactly is that place? Is anything there worthwhile seeing? I'm from Milwaukee...is it close?
Lets not forget the Stennis Space Center on the coast...that may have something to do with science? There undergoing a big expansion too. Imagine that...Rocket Sciencetists...in Mississippi...I wonder if they wear shoes??
