I'm so glad to have found this MO forum! I'm originally from MO, but am stuck in Oregon to share custody of my son with my ex-husband (we moved here 5 years ago). I've been very sad lately, really missing home. All of my family is in MO, which makes my life very lonesome sometimes. We stay in touch via phone and skype, which helps. It's not the same though. I wish I could go home for a visit, but as a single mom, it's just not financially an option.

I don't blame you, Jessica. I hope you find your way back. We emigrated from California and don't miss it at all, but for family. MO was and remains a lovely place to have landed. Best of luck once your son is an adult.

Jessica - our son lives in Portland. We've been nagging him to come visit us here. If we can talk him into it, maybe you could hitch a ride for a visit.
