Saw a sign in the old Cabo build that Montego's Caribbean Cafe and Bar was coming soon. Glad they are adding some better restaurants downtown! Picture attached

I was glad to see Montego's opening downtown. They should do very well in that spot.

In addition to Montego's, Von's should be opening soon as well (late June or so). They will be on Saint Michael St. east of Royal.

In other news, an Italian place is going into the old Panini Pete's location (before they moved around the corner). This one is slow moving, but it's by the same team that opened the Bicycle Shop. The old Downtowner's spot is being converted into something restaurant related and The Haberdasher should be opening their new spot on Dauphin between Saint Joseph and Royal by the end of the year.

Mobile should be a slam-dunk for a place that does beignets and cafe au lait a la Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Mobile has similar heritage and that type place would fit right in downtown.

Yep ! Panninni Petes down town has some of the best beignets you will ever have some say they are better than Cafe du Monde. We can use another place that serve them downtown though !
