Hey all,

Spending the weekend in mobile, and looking for some good recommendations for nice breakfast and lunch places...of course the quality of food is most important, but something with nicer ambiance than a Waffle House is highly preferred

Checking out Von's Bistro for lunch on Friday, and Kitchen on George and Noble South for dinner on Friday and Sat...so I need breakfast/lunch ideas for Saturday and Sunday!

Appreciate the help!

For breakfast/brunch, try Cream & Sugar and Blind Mule (brunch). For lunch, maybe try Callaghan's or Mediterranean Sandwich Co. downtown. I picked these without knowing your tastes, but if you have anything in particular in mind, please let us know.

Welcome!

By the way, your choices so far will not disappoint!

We really have a wide range of taste, so nothing really off the table. Definitely prefer local places over chains. Definitely like stuff that's a little different, but also don't a good traditional southern breakfast either.

Thanks for the recommendations. Will give them a look! And if you think of something else, definitely let me know 😊

Try Felix's near the battleship Alabama. Excellent seafood.

Be aware that Art Walk is tonight down town, so getting around will be a little harder, but lots of cool stuff going on!

We definitely plan on hitting the art walk after dinner. I didn't see a map posted on their Facebook page, any recommendation on streets to avoid while finding parking, etc? Is it mainly on Dauphin?

It's mainly on Dauphin Street. I usually park at the McDonald's on Government Street. Well lit and lots of people walking around. It say's for customers only, but I've never had an issue with it and I doubt the workers there care.

Another breakfast and dinner recommendation would be Spot of Tea for breakfast and Dumb Waiter for dinner.

Two places that are definitely worth the visit if you want a REALLY good breakfast are Meat Boss on Cottage Hill Road and Dick Russell's BBQ on Hwy 90 in Tillman's Corner. Yes, they are both BBQ joints, but they both have INCREDIBLE breakfast options! Meat Boss only serves breakfast on Friday & Saturday but Dick Russell's serves it 7 days a week.
