I am not from Kalispell so I can not speak to that development. You could have a local Title Company search the land transfers of ownership. And then research those names of owners. Or if you have the land description--township & range, you can search it on BLM-Glo records online to see if it was orginally an old homestead claim. That is more difficult than searching old owner names. https://glorecords.blm.gov/search/

Sometimes land developers & real estate sales people make up a name for a ranch as marketing tool. You might find that the property was originally called the Dry Creek Cattle Company or the Circle 2 or just the Jones Place or even something unfortunate & politically incorrect like dead squaw gulch.

Here is a 2014 article about a farming family in that general area. A Family Legacy Born from the Ground Up - Flathead Beacon Their farm is not on the Glacier Ranch subdivision land but that land was also farms and ranches years ago. The stretch between Kalispell and Columbia Falls is/was sometimes called Lasalle.

I think your best bet is to do a title/land record search at the courthouse in Kalispell. Good luck! ETA: The local historical society might be able to help, too.
