Hello, heading to Great Falls this next summer for some vacation time, and was doing some research on hotels to stay at. The O'haire Motor Inn came up on a website where people do reviews of hotels/attractions as #3 on the list in Great Falls. Just wondering if any of you know much about this hotel- the pictures look kind of dumpy but the reviews are great, and the bar looks kind of interesting!!! Just want to get some other opinions before I make reservations. Any input is appreciated!

Is that the place with the pool and the girls dressed up like mermaids in the bar?

Yes, that's what it looks like from the pictures. A little strange?

The Quirky Sip-N-Dip bar makes splash on GQ magazine's top 10 bars in the world.

I don't know about the hotels and I'm not sure if these are really "must see spots but just by driving for an hour or so you can check out these sights.

Near Shelby just north of G.F. is Montana's newest state park. It has not been fully developed yet and may never will be. It's a mile walk down to the river from the parking area.

West from G.F. the fishing at the Diversion Lake just below Gibson Reservoir can be good, this pic is the spring snow-melt topping the dam.

All along the rocky Mountain Front are stunning views like this.

If you are into hiking, there is the "Bob". If you hike in this wilderness complex be prepared for Black bear and Grizzly bear encounters.

Funny you should ask about the O'haire. I have quite a bit of history with that place. It is a very nice place to stay, reasonable rates ect and a great resteraunt to boot. The Sip n Dip is historic-I used to swim in that pool when I was a kid (used to be terrified of the fish paintings on the side of the pool)lol. The mermaids are a unique attraction, people really seem to like them. I don't know if Pat is still singing at the piano bar. I'd stay there if I was back in Great Falls and needed to stay at a motel

It's a fairly old place, hence the appearance (I recall going there for brunch sometimes when I was a kid!) but I think you can count on the reviews being accurate

Thanks for your help everyone!!! So looking forward to some Montana time. Love the views, the friendly people... It's been a while since I've been there, but I remember visiting there as a child and it brings back some good memories. I have never been to Great Falls, and am really looking forward to it!!
