I'm a Canadian originally (lived in Ontario up until I was 16, then moved to California). Lived in Montreal when I was younger (up until I was 6).

I will be moving back to Canada to go to college; specifically Montreal (McGill).

I've visited Montreal as well, but I guess it would be fair to say that visiting a city is different than living in it.

Alright, so any advice/pointers about living in Montreal?

PS. I don't speak French, but I can understand basics.

Thanks everyone!

You'll have a great time, Your knowledge of French wont be a big issue as you are going to a predominantly English University and most people speak English. But i would highly recommend some intensive studying of the French Language if you want to be a relevant contender for Jobs in Quebec if you decide to stay when the schooling is over..

Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, I'm going to start picking up French. I think it'll be a bit easier for me since I took it all throughout school until the 10th grade (never really put effort into learning it unfortunately though).
