I am planning a trip. What is the better place to stay Montreal or Quebec city?

How is Mont Tremblant? Is it only skiing?
Might as well do both cities if you're gonna go.

I did both cities over a summer once. I do plan on doing both again.

But I need to know, do you guys have a lot of snow yet? If not, when do you expect to have a good amount of snowfall?

Here's some historical data.

Montreal:
Canadian Climate Normals 1981-2010 Station Data
November: on average 5.4 days with some snowfall, 1.3 days with 5+ cm snowfall, a 10+ cm snowfall every other year
December: 13 days with snowfall including 3 with 5+ cm, 1.3 with 10+, big storm (25+) once every 5 years

Quebec City:
Canadian Climate Normals 1981-2010 Station Data
November: on average 8 days with some snowfall, 2 days with 5+ cm snowfall, 1 day with 10+ cm, once in a while a big 25+ storm (twice in 30 years)
December: 16.6 days with snowfall including 5 with 5+ cm, 2 with 10+, big storm (25+) once every 4 years

So to answer your second question: soon. I was in Témiscouata (Appalachians E of Rivière-du-Loup) last weekend and there was a coating everywhere, but still nothing near the St. Lawrence River.

Did either Quebec City or Saguenay have good snow cover yet? The internet says Saguenay snowed before today, and Quebec city received some snow today.

I use traffic webcams to check up on snow cover.

From the looks of it Quebec City has almost no snow. Saguenay has snow however.
