Anyway, as I was lying back on a chaise longue and my kids were having fun in the wave pool with about 300 other people, within my viewing range were about 10-15 women (of all ages) who were wearing "tong'' bikini bottoms. Now this is totally unscientific but I'd put good money on the table that if I hung out for a week in a water park in Ontario I am not sure we'd get to a total of 15 women wearing this type of swimsuit.
For the record there were also way more men wearing speedos (not even close to the majority though) and also many more wearing those briefs-style swimsuits like the French and Italians wear.
Depending on where you are in Ontario - you might find people wearing nothing at all - not even tong bikini's or brief style swimsuits. Maybe Ontario isn't as conservative about these things as perhaps other jurisdictions in N.A.. hmm dunno...

Come on fusion, I was talking about a run-of-the-mill, family waterpark. There are nude beaches everywhere, including in Ontario and Quebec and in the US too. But not even 1% of beaches would be nude, and they tend to be off the beaten path. It's not exceptional to have at least one nude beach within a given geographic area. Unless you are in Saudi Arabia.

I got that AJ but this isn't just about Ontario in the thread - there's probably better examples of jurisdictions in N.A that are more conservative than run of the mill Ontario? By the way you should talk to people down in Chicago - they don't have a fully nude beach in Illinois (according to them) we just had this discussion in C V C in these very forums!! Prolly a lot of States that don't either AJ!

I don't think Ontario is a super prudish place, but it is more prudish than Quebec.

I'm inclined to agree with you but consider this - 50 years ago (and we can probably both agree with this), Ontario probably was a super prudish place in N.A - in 2015 so much has changed and I wouldn't say it is anymore.. Especially with legally sanctiond nudes beaches, naked bike marathons and things like one of the worlds largest gay pride festivities - Ontario and its biggest city and its heart and soul really are not so prudish anymore so these things need to constantly be re-evaluated and temperature taken on an ongoing basis or one might miss that there is a fever happening...
