I've tried searching online and trying to figure out the best place for us but I'm having trouble, so I'm hoping someone who knows about the area can help me out some.

We are looking for a family friendly, med. sized/smallish town to raise our school age kids in. Need to be no more than 30mins. to Morgantown and great schools are a MUST. I would like to be able to get what I need (groceries etc..) around the same area we would live in. Also, we would probably need rental (house or apt) opportunities at first so we need an area with that in mind. Thanks for any help you can give, I know you probably get alot of posts similar to this

You are looking in Fairmont if you want to be out of Morgantown. Maybe North county. I live in Buckhannon ,raised five wonderful kids here.Small but lots of community and things for kids to be involved in.Rentals are scarce though. Find West Virginia Real Estate links to all realtors in the area.Good Luck

I would suggest Grafton, Wv.

The schools are after the 'old school model where education is stressed.

Grafton Bearcats...nice town, nice people and a secret place, for sure.

A second workable town is Barrackville...and drive the old road to Motown...

my uncle did that when he worked for WVU.
