Just heard that the WVU Marching Band feature twirlers beat out Penn State and Florida State in the finals today of the national championship for marching band twirlers held in Orlando at the ESPN/Disney sports complex. I'll post the story as soon as its available, but here is a link about the competition...

I seem to recall everyone on the wvsports message board making fun of the twirlers for years... I guess the football team has something to strive for now?

Nobody is making fun of these twirlers. They perform at basketball games too. These women are outstanding. It would be nice if the football team were to accomplish a similar feat.
