Lord, I hope the Jammers change their logo before they arrive in Morgantown. It looks like an angry bunch of grapes.. Sour Grapes, even. Just sayin'..

I don't know what the grapes are about. We do have a winery near Cheat Lake, but in general we aren't grape conscious here so I'd suspect a change in logo would be considered. This is a Pirates affiliate, like the team in Charleston, which should come as no surprise since Wheeling's Nutting family owns the Pirates, dozens of newspapers, and numerous other enterprises including being a major stakeholder in United Bank. They are also historically heavily involved with Oliver Luck, so it is a pretty good bet they had something to do with this development.

Very sad to see the lovely city of Jamestown lose their baseball team.

The grapes refer to Jamestown's prominence as a grower of Concord grapes (Welch's, Mogen David, etc.).

Sad for Jamestown, but happy for us. This will be great for NCWV...

Good for Morgantown. I'll have to make a trip or two.
