I don't know why it wouldn't work, but let's try another one. I just wanted to post an article that had a balanced approach. I read a story in the Charleston paper that basically ignored the impressive gains of almost 1,250 permanent residents in Mon County between 2014 and 2015, mentioning only Berkeley and Jefferson. The facts are all the Eastern Panhandle counties posted gains as did all the NCWV counties except Harrison, which had only a small decrease.
The trends are strikingly clear as the demographics of our state are shifting dramatically to the east and north central. That isn't going to change any time soon, and especially the Eastern Panhandle is bound to grow exponentially over time as DC/Baltimore continues to grow outward. I realize that with their huge geographic footprint Kanawha has the largest number in absolute terms, but if you use that same footprint in terms of geography and apply it to the Eastern Panhandle or to Monongalia/Marion/Harrison it is evident where the real density growth is taking place.
