Does anyone know of any mortgages for teachers? I looking for something with 5% down and maybe reduced fees. The only one I have found so far is Bank or America.
Might want to look at FHA. As far as specifically for teachers ;no.Have a freind and he said the teachers credit union wasn't even the best he found when getting his mortgage.
Calstrs in California but I don't think you live/teach there. But if you look at their info, they may direct you to national programs. If I recall theirs wasn't specifically Calstrs, they were more like the liason to mortgage programs for teachers.
I looked into theirs briefly but FHA ended up making more sense for me. I'm very happy with what I got (both house and mortgage)
I am using Bank of America currently and I am military and USAA is not even as good as BOA.
