Perhaps we thought this was going to help us out more but it was just one more sign as to what we have to do...

Have been dealing with Wachovia about modifying our second mortgage(high payment, high interest rate, short term),it has gone smoothly, provide the various info, explain our problem, etc ,etc.

Like anything to do with refinancing it has taken a while but yesterday we received a call that our modification was approved, our rate was dropped to 1.5% for four years and it will start in June.

That is the good news.

The bad news is the payment dropped from $1378/month to $1195/month.

Now while this IS less considering our loss of income and other factors this is not going to help us be able to keep the house.

I have emailed the lady that has been helping us through the process to first thank her(I doubt they get much appreciation) and to ask about what our next step is.

Such is life I guess.
