How often do you show up at closing and get your keys that day, smoothly?

I have pestered my loan people like crazy, gave them all the docs they
need and can't get a confident answer out of them. What is the
success rate, what more can I do?

If I am planning to move on a Saturday, how many days before that
should I schedule my closing?

Typically you should get the keys to the home the day of closing or the following day if the closing occurs after 3pm or so. Some lender have had delayed fundings lately for various reasons.

Ask your mortgage professional if the lender you are using has experienced any delayed fundings. If planning on moving in on Saturday, i would suggest no later than a thursday closing.

We closed on a friday, got the keys when we signed the papers, stayed in the new house that night.

That was one of the best nights we had in the house. No tv, a small radio and a bed (we had them include the new bed they had in the house for showing).

Default Ok

Alright, we are on the right track, I went ahead and moved it up a week
just to be extra sure. Getting anxious at this point, just want to get it
over with. Everything looks good. Sept.18th it is, move on 26th and 27th. Bye bye to the rental condo for good by the 30th!!

Thanks
