I'm looking for a good reliable bilge pump to pump some water out of my boat. The cover collapsed and some water gathered around there. I was looking at these cheap 12v ones from Harbor freight.
Friend the bilge pump is only going to be as dependable as your battery. You got to keep the battery charged up and ready to go at all times or you can end up finding your boat at the end of the rope going down into the water.I've seen it happen. The battery got low ,pump stopped, water filled boat and boat sank. Get a pump that is designed for your boat size .I would have a safety float switch in place to cut on the pump once the water level reached a certain depth .
Rule 500. Won't use any other. You will want something to keep th ebaytery charged though.
