Actually I thought T3 was pretty good also. True, not AS good as T2, then again, NOTHING is as good as T2 !!!

The Terminator stopped being The Terminator starting from the one starting Christian Bale (i.e., the fourth one). True they used a digital/fake Ernold Schwarzenegger for a scene towards the end, but The Terminator is not The Terminator without Ernie in a leading role, unfotunately I think he is too old to be a badass robot ever again. End of an era !!!

Both series are total classics. I can't pick one.

Just wanted to add, although I liked T3, Nick Stahl did not suit the role of a teenage John Connor at all. He seemed like too much of a pu&&y to play John Connor. I cannot picture the badass, cocky kid from T2 grow up to be someone like Nick Stahl in teenage years, and then all of a sudden rise to become a tough commander once fully grown? Nope, just doesn't fly. Nick Stahl looked weak and vulnerable and was a bad cast for the role imho !!

I can't really argue with that. I did like his acting though, when seen in a vacuum. But taken as part of a trilogy, it really did seem out of character.

The first BttF is a classic. One of the greatest movies of the '80s. The sequels were fun but nothing special.
I agree and I'd go with Terminator.

I own a T2 (great) and T3 (so so), I don't have any BTTF. I rented T4 several months ago (online). A few months later I saw it in Blockbuster and was trying to remember if I had already rented it. - That's telling.

My thoughts exactly!

(I like the first of each the best.)

For the record, the most annoying song in a movie ever goes to ZZ Top in BTTF 3...Uhhhg...

The only way I'd consider them comparative is because they are both time travel trilogies.

"Gotta get back in time" and the Chuck Berry song was great!!

The soundtract for T1 was a little primitive, but menacing!
