Bette Davis, when directed by William Wyler, he knew how to stop her chewing up
the scenery, as in Jezabel. Modern times, Meryl Streep, no one to touch her in modern
cinema.

An actress that chronologically fits between Bette and Meryl that I think is a fantastic actress that I dont hear many Americans talk about is Dame Judy Dench.
