Deadgirl as #6? Ridiculous, terrible movie. Has nothing to do with a zombie although she is similair. She lays on a table the entire movie while perverts sexually abuse her and bites off their **** or something like that, i cant remember exactly because it was so terrible.

Otherwise the list is ok, No evil dead though>?

Yeah, dead girl was really, really weird.

What the hell was she, anyway? A zombie? or something else?

She is a mute undead. No explanation as to how she became that way

I might have a little bit of an age bias here but you all know all zombie movies made before the 80's were a total joke because graphics were so bad they looked rather comedic!!

My favorites are - Zombieland (all the characters, even women and children, act realistically and prepared, that was the best part about this movie...not a bunch of dumb people screaming and running around clueless as to what to do), Dawn of the Dead (the recent one...don't care for the 1978 version), 28 Days Later, Dead Snow and Shawn of the Dead. Zombie Strippers was pretty awesome also, although a bit comedic !! I liked "I am Legend" (Will Smith) also, if you can classify it as a zombie movie that is.

Good thread btw !!

Evil Dead was about demonic possession, not zombies. They were summoned by the Necronomicon, spoke, reasoned, could mimic their intended victims and their families and did not act like zombies in the very least. A better question is why 28 Days Later was left off the list. While people the plague may have been spread by a virus, they acted exactly like zombies once infected.

28 Days Later was the best Zombie move ever IMHO. There was no OTT Hollywood BS and it came down to good actors and a good director. 28 Weeks Later was the complete opposite.

Could I Am Legend be considered? I love that one and can't wait for the second.
