(If I have already made this observation, I apologize for doing it again)

One of the pictures I used recently in my diary was from "The Debt" (2010) which shows the heroes exiting an An-26. One of the pointed out goofs in Imdb is that as a Russian built aircraft, there is no way it would be used by the Israelis.

Normally, I would say, okay.............but we are talking about a spy movie after all; who knows what arrangements might be made in that world?

Ever see the MASH episode "The Incubator" with Logan Ramsey (ProCounsel from ST:TOS "Bread and Circuses")? He, as a scrounger, tells our doctors that he can get them anything, even "With a week's notice, a B-52 with crew" (another error, but that's not the point here).

In the clandestine, behind the proper world, such as what we may see in a spy movie, why do audiences expect that everything must be as it appears?

I have heard people criticize Blofeld (Charles Gray) in "Diamonds are Forever" when he states that science was never his strong suit even though he (then Telly S.) created a germ warfare weapon in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Well, is it not possible that as a crook he was either lying or perhaps, as my Mom observed, he consider being a criminal a stronger suit?

Can we not appreciate the fictional movie and dream a little bit?
