Went to go see The Furious Seven today. Been wanting to see it for a while, the wife has to work & it's not her type of movie. Good movie good car crashes, big explosions, etc. Good fun! What I didn't like is the 1 plus of watching what they call (First Look) I didn't go to see 10 mins commercials I watched one that last a GOOD five mins about girls singing about shaving their legs! Now some of you might say then don't go so early. Sometimes you don't have a choice do to weather, tired of standing. I don't go very often these days unless it's something that I want to see. Anyone else have issues with this?

I'm not sure I understand your post.
Are you saying that the time spent on commercials and trailers have become a big disincentive for you?
Are you saying that the content of commercials is annoying?
Are you saying that you used to go regularly regardless if there was something you wanted to see?
I think that most people don't go unless there's something they really want to see - which is why movie attendance has plummeted.
I do something unusual. I get my seat, then leave during the trailers to go to the bathroom or whatever.
Then don't watch them.
I always get to the theatre early to get a good seat. Sometimes as much as 30 minutes, which means up to an hour of wait until the actual movie begins.
Then pull out my phone and play games/read/chat with friends/work...until it's movie time. It's not a big deal.

You don't need to show up 10-20 minutes before the movie. Maybe show up at 5. I like these so long as I didn't see them before and it is the third or fourth time on this particular First Look. Now if we are talking about the coke commercials with the trailers and policy videos, you do have a point because they are far too long.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I believe those are run strictly for financial reasons, not for our entertainment.
Sure, we could do what some here have suggested, come in later. But I like the trailers, too. Last time I saw a movie was two weeks (The Age of Adelaide -- good movie b/t/w). I believe we sat through 20+ minutes of "crap."
And what really gets me...... my friend and I and two other people were the only ones attending. How do they afford to stay open?
